How much space do you need to raise Favorolle chickens? What do I feed them? How big do they get? Are they good around kids/people?

I feed them the same diet that I feed my silkies. I feed them mixed oats, grains, black sunflower seeds, oyster shell, millet, and peas or corn depending on the season. Natural dietenacous earth worms are good as well. The better that you feed your chickens, the better the yoke and they lay more eggs. I keep thier automatic feeder full during the day as well. I even get eggs through the winter.

Favorolles are medium size chickens. The males weigh 8lbs and females 6.5 lbs. Hens lay 150-180 eggs a year. They lay large to extra lg. eggs cream or light pink colored eggs.
They need at least 4 square feet of of coop space each. During the colder months they will snuggle together, but because of their dense feathers they like to spread out in the summer.

Salmon Favorolles were origianlly bred as utility poultry breed in France for winter eggs. Today the breed is rare and raised mostly for exhibition and novelty. They are funny, sweet, friendly, like human contact and have cute furry looking feet. This breed really good with children and others they really do like hands on attention. They are like children, they love attention. They are lap chickens if you allow them to be.
How much space do you need to raise Silkie chickens? What do I feed them? How big do they get? Are they good around kids/people?

Silkies eat exact same as Favorolles. I mix oats, grains, black sunflower seeds, oyster shell, millet, and peas or corn depending on the season. Natural dietenacous earth worms are good as well. The better you feed your chickens, the better the yoke and they lay more eggs. I keep thier automatic feeder full during the day as well. eggs are medium size.

Silkies in America are smaller. They are about the size of rabbits. The are called bantams (a term that means "miniature chickens". They are usually 8-14 inches tall.

Silkies can live in a small area because they do not jump high or fly they can have a fence as low as only 3 feet high. We have built our own chicken coops for them. They look like little apartments. I like aesthetics as well as convenience.
As I said above, I have chosen animals that are friendly and easy to handle. These are a great first chicken, they like people, and are easy to care for. They like human contact and attention.

How much space do you need to raise Nigerian Dwarf goats? What do I feed them? How big do they get? Are they good around kids/people?

Nigerian Dwarf does eat the exact same as kunes (alfalfa grass mix, a pellet supplement which you can purchase at any feed store. For a treat they like fruits & vegies). This makes it possible to put them in the same area with kunes (be aware kunes like to eat everything) so you have to figure that part out if you house them together. Bucks grass (free range) or a bale of grass/hay from your nearest feed store. With shortages going on in the world, its good to have your own grass fed meat and not have to rely on a corporation to feed your family in emergency situations. I feed my animals in the morning and evening.

They weigh 60-80 pounds. Does get to be 16-21 inches and bucks 18-23 inches.

1/3-1/2 acre is good for a pair and a litter to run around/graze etc. You can most likely put more animals on that same acreage, I personally have 7 acres i like my animals to have lots of room. You will need some kind of shelter to keep them out of the rain. I have seen some people make shelter out of pallets.

They are good around children and others. They are like friendly and like attention, to play, and get along with other animals.

How much space do you need to raise Kunekunes? What do I feed them? How big do they get? Are they good around kids/people?

What to feed them....
Kunes are unique in that they are free range unlike most pigs. They do not root due to their upturned noses which makes them able to graze. You can supplement their diets with alfalfa grass mix, a pellet supplement which you can purchase at any feed store. For a treat they like fruits and vegies. They are great for getting rid of brass and bramble without tearing up your yard. With shortages going on in the world, its good to have your own grass fed meat and not have to rely on a corporation to feed your family in emergency situations. I feed them in the morning and evening.

They weigh 180-400 unless overfed. They can get very big if they eat too much. Males are considerably heavier than females. They get to be 24 inches tall.

They are good around children and others. They are like friendly dogs that will follow you when called. They can do tricks if you train them.
